About Us

Career Camp ATL Isn’t Just About Exposure to Career Options—
It’s About Empowerment

Career Camp ATL isn’t just about preparing for the next step—it’s about building a foundation for a lifetime of success and fulfillment. By shifting the focus from a single job title to a broader vision of happiness and achievement, we help students step confidently into their future with clarity and excitement. Our program is designed to help students take an active role in shaping their futures by blending:

Personalized Career Exploration

Every student is unique, and so is their path. We help campers identify their strengths, passions, and values to align with meaningful career opportunities.

Real World
Connections

Through mentorship, hands-on activities, and industry insights, students engage with professionals across various fields to gain practical knowledge and inspiration.

Active Parental Involvement

We recognize the vital role parents play in career decision-making. Our program includes resources and opportunities for parents to support and guide their child’s journey.

Practical Skill Development

Beyond career discovery, campers build essential life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and financial literacy to prepare them for real-world success.

Meet Our Founder and CEO
Dr. Brian Keefer

For Dr. Keefer, Career Camp ATL is a mission — one that’s deeply connected to his family values and his passion for creating a better future for all students.

Dr. Brian Keefer, a dedicated public educator and father, has always seen the world through two critical lenses: education and family. These two perspectives led to the creation of Career Camp ATL, a transformative experience designed to help students discover careers that bring them joy, fulfillment, and success.

The concept for Career Camp ATL was hatched in July 2016.  As the father of then-eight and two-year-old boys (see the 2016 picture), he couldn’t shake the idea that despite his professional experience as an educator, he felt unequipped to support his own children on their journey toward a fulfilling adulthood with careers that aligned with their strengths and vision for their future. As an educator, Dr. Keefer has witnessed firsthand the gaps in how traditional education systems approach career readiness. He’s seen schools make tremendous strides in exposing students to various career options. Still, he believed something vital was missing: the opportunity for students to discover what truly excites them — to define, in their own terms, what fulfilling lives and careers look like. His vision is clear: provide young people the opportunity to explore, discover, and ultimately build the careers they’re meant to have while encouraging them to live lives they can be proud of.
